What to Expect
When are your worship services?
Sundays @ 9:00am and 10:45am beginning January 11, 2009
Where are your worship services?
We meet in the Union Ballroom at ASU Polytechnic. Click here for directions.
What should I wear?
We hope you'll wear whatever makes you comfortable. You'll find plenty of people dressed casually (t-shirts, shorts, jeans) and others dressed a little snazzier (slacks, dresses, skirts). Just come as you are.
What should I do with my kids?
We have a safe, fun, and educational children's ministry for kids birth through 5th grade, or you are free to have your children with you in the worship gathering. (All of our children's workers have undergone background checks and been trained prior to volunteering)
What is a Worship Gathering Like?
People show up prior to the gathering, find a seat, grab some coffee or donut, and spend time greeting one another. The gathering begins with some songs of praise. We usually have somebody from our community share about how God is working in his or her life. The sermon, or message, is based on the Bible and is designed to help us understand God, who we are, and the world we live in. After the sermon we celebrate communion, remind ourselves of our love and need for Jesus Christ, and respond with joyful singing. The gathering ends with a few announcements and a benediction to send people off with a 'good word' of encouragement. After gathering people often spend extended time hanging with one another and then frequently go in groups to lunch. We also have great teams of volunteers who make Sunday a great experience.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. To further encourage us we have midweek groups (called Missional Communities) that are a great way to get to know others in the church, be real with each other about everyday living, and join in serving the community.
