Missional Communities

Missional Communities are the central activity of Second Mile Church. While Sunday gatherings are important, Missional Communities are the heartbeat of the church and are the vehicle for most of the church's ministry.

What is a Missional Community?

A missional community is a committed group of people who are living out the mission of God together by demonstrating the gospel in tangible ways and proclaiming the gospel to others (believers and unbelievers). Simply, this is an ordinary group of people doing ordinary things with gospel intentionality.

What do Missional Communities do?

During a month, we encourage each Missional Community to gather one (1) time for a social party with each other and friends from outside the group, one (1) time for a specific service project that meets a tangible community need, and two (2) times for Bible learning, prayer, and sharing gospel stories. Additionally, missional communities will be intentional about spending time together outside of these meetings, practicing hospitality with non-Christians, and doing life together.
